Got an e-mail this morning from "Keep The Ban" about a meeting with EPA over the coal ash leak in Eden, NC that has polluted the Dan River and environs, including drinking water of municipalities downstream.
It's been diaried a fair amount here on the GOS. There are more, I only searched "coal ash" to point to the diaries for those who may be unaware.

Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be in Danville on Tuesday to holding a community briefing about the Duke Energy coal ash spill in Eden, N.C., that has polluted the Dan River. The coal ash spill on February 2nd dumped up to 27 million gallons of water from a coal ash storage basin into the Dan River, along with up to 82,000 tons of ash, turning the river gray. The meeting will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Danville City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building on Patton Street.
